On 19^th May , 2016, "Shakespeare Festival -- China-UK Cultural and Creative Exchange Week" was held in A1. The event was co-hosted by the British Embassy in China and Hebei University. Nick Low, the then counsellor of the British Embassy in China, attended the event and delivered a speech at the opening ceremony. A series of activities were conducted, including Lectures on Shakespeare, recitations of Shakespeare's works, repertory performances, and seminars on the current situation of China-UK cultural and creative industries,. These activities have promoted the cultural exchanges between Chinese and English and deepened the cooperation in higher education.
